White House Braces for Latest Hunter Biden Fallout Near Elections

Published on

The legal entanglements of Hunter Biden pose a problem to Democrats ahead of next month’s midterm elections. They also give Republicans more political fodder for destroying his father, President Joe Biden.

The Justice Department’s criminal tax investigation into Hunter Biden, as well as other ethical issues, will likely create more problems for the president next year if Republicans take control of Congress.

Republicans, including President Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch, are condemning the Justice Department’s slowing down of Hunter Biden’s investigation. This inquiry was published just weeks after the 2020 elections and was already two years old.

Fitton and other observers were prompted to examine the case by reports from the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal that federal agents believe that they have enough evidence to indict Hunter Biden. While the Trump-appointed Delaware U.S. attorney will make the final decision

Fitton told the Washington Examiner that Hunter Biden was under investigation for four years by the Justice Department and that they refuse to follow the law, which requires them to be prosecuted. “They pretend Hunter’s alcohol and drug problems can be used to defend themselves and are anxious about it.”

Fitton stated that the Justice Department would never move against Hunter in the way they did. It will prove more difficult than ever for the Biden administration to avoid corruption issues when dealing with a Republican House.

House Oversight Committee Republicans showed a preview for the next Congress last month. For example, Rep. James Comer (R.KY), forced a vote to approve a resolution that would have required the administration to disclose details about wider Biden family foreign-business dealings.

Bud Cummins, an Arkansas ex-U.S. attorney, believes it unlikely that Hunter Biden will be indicted by the Justice Department before November’s elections. This is based on political considerations. He was however surprised at the narrow scope of the case.

He specifically referred to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, saying, “It could also be because the U.S. attorney can only rely on IRS and ATF investigators at this stage. ”

GOP strategists and operatives (including the Republican National Committee) have been comparing Hunter Biden’s Justice Department approach with Donald Trump’s. They claim the former president is being treated differently. Trump reportedly asks federal agents to check whether he still holds government records. Trump also involves the Supreme Court in the review of classified material seized by the FBI during the search of his Mar-a-Lago home and office in Florida.

Will O’Grady of the RNC spokeswoman said Hunter now knows what it’s like for somebody to breathe down his neck. “This is quite an adjustment for someone who comes from the Biden Family. ”

Karine Jean Pierre, White House press secretary was asked about the Justice Department’s Hunter Biden probe. The first son, Beau Biden, was last seen with his dad, Melissa Cohen, during a briefing on Friday aboard Air Force One.

Jean-Pierre informed the pilot before the plane touched down. As such, “I will refer to the Department of Justice. ”

Chris Clark, Hunter Biden’s lawyer, was louder in his defense. Clark reminded reporters it was a federal crime to be a federal agent and to leak information about grand jury investigations. Clark reminded reporters that it is a federal crime to leak information about grand jury investigations or for federal agents. This will help decide whether criminal charges can now be filed.

He stated that the prosecutors were thorough and diligent in weighing the evidence provided by the agents and all witnesses in the case, as well as defense witnesses. “It is sad that law enforcement agents appear to be violating the law to prejudice a case against someone because of their family name.

“Hunter Biden’s reporting predates another potential repeat of the 2020 election. The Justice Department began investigating Hunter Biden’s tax affairs “.

In a statement disseminated by the then president-elect’s transition team, Hunter Biden insisted he has filed his taxes “legally,” “appropriately,” and with professional assistance. Joe Biden issued a statement in the same email, adamant he is “deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger.”
