Larry Elder Hints At His Political Future After Losing California’s Recall Election

Published on

Conservative talk radio host Larry Elder graciously accepted his defeat as the results of the recall election showed that Gov. Gavin Newsom won.

The no to yes was nearly two-to-one (64.2% to 35.8%) even though some of the polls had suggested that Newsom could lose. Elder urged his supporters to take heart to the key issues they’ve brought up, even though Newsom has refused to offer any changes to his policies. Newsom has not even expressed any regrets for the way he governed throughout the pandemic, leading to the recall efforts by California residents. He used the recall campaign to revisit many of his old talking points, attack Elder for bringing “Trumpism” in the Golden State, and enjoying massive money advantages and donations through his elite allies.

At 8:21 p.m. PT, the race was called by Insider and Decision Desk HQ that Newsom would remain the governor of California. While Elder conceded defeat in the California recall election against Gov. Gavin Newsom, he thanked supporters at an in-person event in Costa Mesa, California, and told them to stay tuned for what he plans to do next. He spoke for about 30 minutes in an upbeat manner about many issues they will continue to work on, including homelessness and education issues.

“We recognize that we lost the battle, but we are certainly going to win the war. We’re forcing them now to pay attention to the things they should have paid attention to two years ago,” Elder said.

Elder even dismissed systemic racism in America, adding that California should be focusing on issues like crime, high cost of living, and income tax. Instead, they’ve tried to use race to cause division among voters. Newsom even remained silent as the mainstream media and his supporters attacked Elder in explicitly racial terms. Because Elder is a Black Conservative, many have called him the “black face of white supremacy.” One white woman was even seen wearing a gorilla mask and pelting Elder and his entourage with eggs. Not once did the media consider it a “hate crime.”

Civil Rights Attorney Leo Terrell argued that California was in trouble after Gov. Newsom beat Republican Larry Elder in the recall election. He said Democrats have “big money” and that they were able to change the narrative to focus on demonizing Elder instead of the issues at hand.

“They were able to basically deflect the issues of the homelessness, the crisis as far as crime and the problems with the wildfires in this state, and basically try to portray Larry Elder as a white supremacist with a black face. Ridiculous strategy. But it worked and that’s how Newsom stayed in office. This state is in trouble,” Terrell said during an appearance on Fox News’ “Mornings with Maria.”

Terrell went on to say that Elder doesn’t fit in with the Democratic narrative because “all Republicans have to be White,” even though Elder is a Black Conservative Republican. The entrenched elite class of leaders like Newsom, Pelosi, and Schumer, continue to divide and keep the people in a corner. Leaders like Elder and Terrell have been ready to solve major issues and work with the people for a better country.

The definition of insanity is doing the same things again and expecting a different result. California appears to be insane.
