Republicans Defeated By Eric Holder’s Nationwide Gerrymandering Plot

Eric Holder, former President Barack Obama’s attorney general, successfully blocked Republican state legislators’ redistricting strategies throughout the country by aggressively gerrymandering House districts via the court system.

Holder’s success can be attributed to his “sue-to-blue” strategy. This was implemented after Obama lost in the 2010 redistricting process, according to the Wall Street Journal. The holder is credited with helping to make the Republican legislatures less aggressive by developing the plan under the National Democratic Redistricting Committee that he established.

Holder allegedly used the court system to create state maps that were “gerrymandered” while accusing Republicans of geryymandering their path to victory.

Numerous federal and state judges intervened to redeploy maps in favor of Democrats.

Some state Republican parties are now pulling their punches. Many GOP state legislators this round were tired of being drawn into lengthy litigation and sick of being called Jim Crow. Courts might also choose to impose their maps.

However, that didn’t stop Democrats from litigating the maps and other GOP products, which pulled courts into fights in North Carolina (Ohio), Pennsylvania (and even Alabama).

Politico reported that approximately 75 congressional districts will be settled in the next few months in seven states as a result of the Democrats’ litigious strategy.
