GOP Candidate Delivers the Best Debate One-Liner of the Cycle

Republicans are finally starting to regain momentum in the race for the mid-term elections, and some candidates seem to be really hitting their stride. While you’ve likely seen Ron DeSantis take over CNN and Kari lake shaming a reporter for reporting on abortion, have you ever seen Hung Cao, the Republican congressional candidate?

Cao participated in a debate on Sunday with Jennifer Wexton, his Democrat opponent. The moderator decided that Joe Biden was the president of the first question. It seems that lefty journalists are still confused about this point. Cao did drop the best debate liner of the cycle.

Cao is running for Virginia’s 10th District, a D+6 constituency. He’s an underdog at a poll box but a winner in controlling the libs. Although the question was not worthy of a more serious answer, it is fair to say that the criticism about gas prices was more than fair.

Is it possible to explain why journalists who claim to be impartial, even those who moderate these debates are still obsessed with getting every Republican pledge their loyalty to Biden’s presidency. Cao has not suggested that Biden isn’t president. But, it is still the United States of America. People don’t have to be loyal to the current White House occupant.

Biden is also clearly the president. Biden was sworn into office in January 2021. While his Delaware beach home appears to be his primary residence, he still resides in Washington, DC. He signs executive orders and other stuff, which his handlers put in front of him.

We all know the reason this moderator asked this question. This is a biased attempt to capture Republicans in the terrible sin of “election denial”, so Democrats can focus their entire campaigns on that issue. They are shrieking about the 2020 election and January 6, other than abortion, which they have been doing as a voter-swinger for the past month. If the polling shift of recent weeks is any indication, it’s not working.

Cao did the right thing. He didn’t try to thread the needle by using vague language about Biden being president. While some Republicans tried it in the past to protest voter fraud but it wasn’t effective as Biden is ultimately the President of the United States.

The left wants 2020 to be the focus of conversation. Why not give them what they want? They are driven to destroy their system and focus on something more important, such as gas prices. Cao points out that a glance at the price at the pump can be enough to prove that Biden is in fact the president.
