Republicans React To Biden White House Secrecy Around Delaware Visitors

Republicans responded to White House’s refusal to answer questions about the apparently nonexistent visitor logs that President Biden had sent from his Delaware home.

According to a New York Post report, the Secret Service claimed that it had no records of the identities or visits to the presidential residence in Delaware.

Fox News Digital asked White House if there were any records on who met with President Obama at Delaware’s home, and if they would release these records. Fox News Digital asked the White House why they don’t keep track of who meets with the president if such records are not available.

The White House avoided answering the questions and instead focused on the previous administration’s handling of White House visitor logs.

Andrew Bates, a spokesperson for the White House, stated that President Biden was proud to have led the most transparent administration in American History and that he had restored the practice of releasing visitor logs to visitors logs which had been discontinued by his predecessor.

Trump’s approach to visitor logs, which the White House has traditionally made public, was a source of harsh criticism.

Trump’s administration kept the White House visitor log of former President Trump under lock and keys, arguing executive privilege allowed them to do this and breaking precedent.

Biden in February ordered that the logs of Trump’s visitors be released to the congressional committee investigating the January 6th riot. The National Archives followed up on this order in March.

Although the White House has made visitor logs available, the Biden administration kept the identities of people who visited Biden in Delaware. This is where the president has spent more than a quarter his time since taking office.

Biden’s Delaware residences are not as visible to the public as the White House. This makes it difficult for the public to see who the president saw during his trips.

James Comer (R-Ky.), House Oversight Committee ranking Member, said that the “claim there are no visitor logs to President Biden’s Delaware residence is a bunch fo malarkey.”

Comer stated that President Biden spent a lot of time at his Delaware home since he assumed office. “Americans should know with whom President Biden is having lunch, especially considering that we know that he regularly met with Hunter’s business associates while he was vice president. Transparency must be provided by the Biden Administration to the American people.

“The administration has repeatedly refused answers about Hunter Biden’s laptop, Joe Biden’s knowledge of corrupt business deals, and meetings at Biden’s private hideout, Delaware,” Senator MarshaBlackburn of Tennessee said to Fox News Digital. “Joe Biden’s America works under two standards: one is for the radical left, and one is for the rest.

Mace said, “It’s terrible if there’s official business being done and they aren’t telling us who with,” “It’s worse that the Administration uses the Secret Service as an excuse for its total and complete lack of transparency.”

Mace stated that any “individual who comes into close proximity to the President in an official or personal capacity is screened and recorded by the Secret Service.”

Rep. Pete Sessions (Republican from Texas) stated to Fox News Digital that the “apparent lack in candor and openness regarding issues within this Administration, does not match President Biden’s standard on January 20, 2021.”

Sessions stated that the Biden administration would “share information even if it is difficult to hear” in his words as Press Secretary. They have not lived up to their standards.”

The New York Post reported it had requested information on who visited President Trump at his Wilmington and Rehoboth beach homes under the Freedom of Information Act, but was denied.

According to the paper, Faron Paramore, Secret Service deputy director, wrote that “The agency performed an additional search of relevant programs offices for potentially responsive documents.”

This is just the latest development in a string of developments that have involved Biden’s records.

Fox New Digital reviewed a March 2010 email from the Office of Vice President Biden. It expressed concern about the terms of the University of Delaware for the “deed of present” for Senator papers. This was “due to political sensitivities” that might arise from the release of the papers to the public.

The email also listed sections that should be reviewed: “Property ownership,” Timing of archival processing, public release,” and “Opportunity to review prior to release.”
