Florida Republicans Outnumber Democrats In Early Voting Tally

According to Sunday’s data, Republicans still outnumber Democrats in Florida’s early vote tally.
All signs point to a red tide in the Sunshine State on Tuesday as Republicans continue outpacing Democrats in early voting. According to Florida’s Voice’s Sunday figures, Republicans led Democrats with 323,347 votes for early voting. What is perhaps more striking is the GOP’s lead over Democrats in traditional blue Miami-Dade where Republicans are leading by 6,021 votes early.

Some predicted these trends, considering the huge gains Republicans have made in Florida over the last few years under Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), is the leader.

For the first time in 2021, Republicans outnumbered Democrats in voter registration. This lead grew to approximately 100,000 voters in March, and to 200,000 in July.

Last month, the governor stated to supporters that Florida has never seen an election where more Republicans were elected than Democrats. But, that’s all about to change this year, as “over 300,000.” Republicans will be in Florida on Election Day.

“The bottom line is that people respond to good leadership. They responded and they appreciated being in Florida. And they also understand the challenges in other states,” DeSantis stated, reminding Floridians of how their future would have been if DeSantis had lost to Andrew Gillum by less than half a percentage point in 2018.

He said that “that could have gone the opposite way”, adding that it would have led to “a very different future.”

“Do not take anything for granted. Okay. Freedom is fragile. We’ve just witnessed an era when states forcibly closed down churches, while allowing liquor stores to operate in strip clubs,” he stated.

DeSantis posted on social media Monday to predict that “tomorrow we’re going carry the torch of liberty onward & ensure Florida’s future is secure and secure for generations.”
