Biden Ignores Reporters’ Questions About Classified Documents For 2nd Time As Staff Escorts Media Out

Published on

As his staff raced to push the media out of the room, President Joe Biden ignored several shouted questions about Tuesday’s handling of classified documents.

After Biden had concluded his bilateral meeting, the moment arrived. Numerous reporters raised questions about the DOJ’s new investigation into classified documents found at the Penn Biden Center think-tank after Biden had concluded his remarks. Biden resisted the urge to listen.

“Mr. president, can you have any comments on the classified documents?” A reporter can be heard screaming at Biden.

Trudeau and Biden remained silent, staring at the reporters impassively while staff escorted them out of the room.
Biden did not answer such questions for the second day. Monday was also a Monday and he didn’t respond to any questions about the discovery.

Biden’s think tank stated that it found the classified documents in its Washington offices in November. It immediately notified National Archives and sent the documents back.

Attorney General Merrick Galrland appointed John Lausch, the U.S. prosecutor for the Northern District of Illinois, a Trump appointee to investigate the matter. According to the White House, Biden is cooperating fully with the investigation.

Richard Sauber, White House special counsel, stated Monday that the documents had not been the subject of any inquiry or request by the Archives. “Since the discovery, the President’s personal lawyers have cooperated with both the Archives and Department of Justice to ensure that any records from the Obama-Biden Administration are in the proper possession of the Archives.

This discovery is similar to last year’s revelations that Trump kept a large number of classified documents in his Mar-a-Lago, Florida home after he left office. His home was raided by the FBI to recover 300 classified documents.

Trump made the quick comparison via social media Monday. Other Republicans also called for more information on the Biden documents.

The scrutiny of Biden was dismissed by Democrats on Capitol Hill as “Republican hypocrisy”.

“This is Republican hypocrisy at its best,” said Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.), during Tuesday’s press conference with fellow party leaders. “We will support the fact the president follows this established protocol. He did the right thing.

Aguilar continued to accuse his colleagues from across the aisle of not wanting “meaningful” oversight, and that they are only interested in opposing the president.
