Colombia’s Navy claimed it intercepted a submarine carrying 2,643 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.

A statement by authorities states that cocaine was worth more than $87 million.

The shipment went to Central America.

The boat was approximately 15 meters in length and the military found two bodies and two people in poor health when they entered.

Two of the rescued persons were taken to another ship for medical attention.

Officials stated that the dead and the rescued were taken to Tumaco, in the southwest part of Colombia.

Authorities claimed that there was an accident in the semi-submersible vessel which produced toxic gas from the fuel.
