Katy Perry of American Idol Ridicules Married Mother for Having Three Children Before Age of 25

I don’t watch American Idol. It was my first time watching it. It was an intriguing format that I liked and gave me the opportunity to spend some time with my wife. I lost interest. There was talent. Kelly Clarkson was the first show’s winner and she did well. It was clear that only ten percent was focused on talent search, while the other ninety percent was devoted to producers mocking and highlighting delusion.

The wannabes were shown to the hosts and asked to perform (or a facsimile of what they claimed was their singing). It was often embarrassing and just plain awful. The contestants would discover a previously unheard-of key, and Randy Jackson would shut them down with the following: “I’m just feeling it, Dawg.” Simon Cowell would also open his hand and say something similar:

“This was the worst version I’ve ever heard of [Name a popular tune]!”

Cowell was brutal but honest.

Deluded American Idol hopefuls almost certainly had trophy shelves filled with participation ribbons and sixth-place trophies. Contestants who were not given “golden tickets” would be shown the exit and would walk into the arms of a similarly delusional mother, who would then be shocked to learn that their child was rejected.

You can rest assured that contestants were told over and again that they could sing like Aretha. Their parents, fathers, and even Auntie M told them that they were “great”, saying, “I’ve never seen anything like it!” This would be true, but not in the best way. The worst contestants could range from pedestrians to ear-murderers. The judges did not mock or attack anyone because they were young mothers, however. Fair game is when a contestant is completely untalented in singing. What isn’t fair? Making fun of a mother for being a mother.

American Idol continues to air. The judges are Luke Bryan, Lionel Ritchie, and Katy Perry. A video of an audition was sent to me.

The effusive red-headed woman named Sara Beth presented in front of Bryan, Richie, and Perry for her audition. Sara giggled as she announced that she was 25. Lionel playfully observed that Sara doesn’t look 25. Perry said “15.” Sara then added that she has three children. Perry reflectively lept to her feet and acted like she was about to throw up. It seemed that Sara believed (incorrectly) that Perry was admiring her motherhood and said:

“If Katy lays down on the table I’m gonna pass out.”

Perry said in response:

“Honey, you’ve been lying on the table too much.”

Perry added:

“If it’s not your dream, you might need to leave because there’s a lot of dreams behind you.”

After Sara had finished singing, Perry noted that she admires people “who would lay down their life for a golden ticket.”

This makes some strange sense in one way. Perry admires a woman who is willing to do anything for fame. But she’s also a mother of three children before the age of 25. This is a bridge too far.

Yes, Katy Perry is my favorite singer. Many people love her. I am not one of them. Perry supports abortion on demand. She tweeted that sparklers in America have more rights than women.

However, I did not know that there was an International Women’s Day during “Women’s History Month.” It is today. Every day I celebrate women.

Katy Perry honors women who will sacrifice their lives in exchange for fame and paper. Motherhood? It’s not so easy.
