Polish Woman Apologizes To Missing British Girl’s Parents

After receiving DNA results back, a Polish woman used social media to find Madeleine McCann missing. Madeleine McCann was a British toddler who disappeared on a family vacation to Portugal in 2007.

Julia Faustyna from Poland, also known as Julia Wandelt, claimed for several weeks via Instagram and TikTok she might be McCann. However, DNA tests apparently proved that she is not British, according to Dr. Fia Johansson, her ex-spokesperson.

Faustyna wrote in a long Facebook post that Wednesday, “I don’t remember most my memories, but I can recall some things and never said I was Madeleine McCann.” “I used this sentence in order to create a nickname for my old Instagram account. It was my mistake, and I know it. I’m sorry for that. I should have used words like ‘Am I Madeleine McCann’ and not ‘I’.

She said, “So it was my fault. It wasn’t my intention. I didn’t intend to bring sadness or any other negative emotional [sic] to anybody, especially McCann’s families. My primary purpose was to discover who I was and what happened in my very painful past.”

Faustyna described a past that was difficult and blurry in her Facebook post. She also said that she began looking into the McCann case when she saw a picture of the missing girl online. Faustyna claimed that she has a small spot in her right eye, and a beauty mark on one cheek that looks like McCann’s. Faustyna also claimed that her childhood details don’t add up, leading to her believing that she was abducted when she was a toddler.

In her 20s, the Polish woman amassed thousands of followers on her social media pages. Many of them were critical of her claims. Johansson, a psychic personality on social media, offered to represent Faustyna during her global headlines. They even appeared together on “Dr. Phil.” Johansson announced the news of Faustyna’s DNA results in an April 4, statement.

Johansson posted a statement to Instagram, “The test results showed that she is 100% Polish in heart, with negligible influences from Lithuania and Russia.” “The DNA tests did not reveal any connection to British, German or other European roots.”

Johansson said that she believed what she was saying and that it was easy to understand her motivations with so many questions about her past.

Faustyna accepts donations via a GoGetFunding account.

Madeleine’s parents, Kate McCann and Gerry McCann were vacationing in Praia da Luz (Portugal) with their three children. Madeleine was taken out of her bed by Madeleine on May 3, 2007. The family was staying in an apartment on the ground floor.

German police identified Christian Brueckner (45), a convicted child abuser, and drug dealer, as a suspect in the disappearance of the 3-year-old girl. However, Brueckner is still a German citizen who denies any involvement in the case.

Brueckner is currently in a German prison serving time for drug crimes. A seven-year sentence is also pending for Brueckner’s 2005 rape conviction against Praia da Luz woman aged 72.
