Consumer Advocacy Group Targets Bank of America for Pushing ESG

Consumers’ Research, a consumer advocacy group, launched the “Bank of UnAmerican”, a campaign that targets Bank of America as the second largest bank in America for its environmental, social and governance (ESG), strategies.

Breitbart reported previously that ESG policies were a leftist form of activism in financial investments. This has been the latest way to influence Wall Street financial firms and corporates to continue taking social and political positions which do not directly relate to their businesses, such as those associated with climate changes and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion agenda.

Consumers’ Research Campaign includes two national TV ads, a Times Square Billboard and more than a dozen billboards on mobiles in America’s biggest cities. Also included is the “Bank of UnAmerican”.

One of the TV advertisements criticised Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan, for using ESG as a tool to promote a radical far-left agenda.

The ad said:

They fund abortions and demand Americans follow their woke climate agenda. They tell people that America is a white supremacist system while removing your Second Amendment rights. A California Democrat? No. No. In America, there are enough people promoting political agendas. Bank of America shouldn’t be part of that. Bank of America Their lies begin with their name.

Will Hild, the executive director of Consumers’ Research, has slammed Moynihan for “using the United States’ 2nd largest bank like a partisan club.”

Hild made a statement.

Bank of America is on notice. Brian Moynihan, the CEO of America’s second largest bank, has used it like a political tool. Under his leadership, the bank brought China’s system of social credit to American soil using ESG metrics that could potentially block individuals and businesses from accessing key banking services. The same bank invested billions of dollars in China to facilitate the rise of the Chinese Communist Party. Bank of America may be called that, but Moynihan’s crew has been actively working to undermine America.

He also criticised Moynihan, for forcing Bank of America staff to undergo DEI Training.

Hild continued, “Their multi-billion dollar lobbying helped to stagnate our economic growth and cripple domestic energy production on the orders of the UN climate cartel called the Net Zero Alliance.” They also went woke by forcing their employees to undergo a ‘DEI training’ that vilified the United States and asked them to confront their “White Privilege.”

Hild sent a letter months ago to congressional leaders asking them to take action on the ESG issue. He said that the ESG issue “concentrates the power in the hands of a small group of Wall Street Managers who are not elected and lack accountability to the people. They also make it clear to anyone they can to restrict their ability to set policy.”

Breitbart News reported that a report by the House Judiciary Committee on FBI whistleblowers revealed that Bank of America had provided the FBI with a list of all those who used its services in the D.C. region, regardless of whether they were involved in the protests of January 6, 2016.
