Is Mike Pence Clueless About FBI and DOJ Corruption?

Mike Pence does not get it. This is my response to the recent Fox News comments he made about the DOJ and FBI’s corrupt practices.

Pence told Kayleigh McEnany, “We’re going clean up all senior levels of the Department of Justice & FBI” in the wake of John Durham’s report that revealed gross abuses of authority within the country’s top law-enforcement agency.

Why is this a problem? Here’s a clip to give you some context.

Pence still seems to think it’s 2017 when everyone believed that firing James Comey was the solution to all of the FBI’s problems. But it’s no longer 2017 and the problem is much deeper than the “senior level” of leadership.

The FBI is corrupt from the top down, not just the political appointees at the highest levels. Abuses range from agents covering up the Larry Nassar affair to holding a prolife author under gunpoint in front of his children. It’s not even worth mentioning all the unauthorized spying that has occurred throughout the FBI. These issues are much more than just FBI Director. Christopher Wray, even though he’s a part and should be fired.

Pence has a mentality that believes that FBI agents are just hardworking, clean-cut individuals who want to do a good job. We continue to receive evidence that contradicts this notion. Anyone running for the Republican nomination for president in 2024 who doesn’t see this and believes that there is a need to fire all levels of the DOJ or FBI at once is not prepared to do what is needed.

Ron DeSantis is another candidate for 2024. He has a plan that would reorganize the DOJ and FBI, and even relocate them. This is the type of action we need. What is Pence’s plan? If all Pence plans to do is replace a few senior officials, then nothing will change. Pence doesn’t say he will fire Wray directly, which is a requirement for all GOP voters when the primaries begin. (I think DeSantis, and Vivek Ramaswamy, are the only candidates to have made that pledge so far.

Please explain why Pence is running. What makes him unique? DeSantis, even if you prefer Donald Trump, for example, is a different approach to cultural battles. There’s no appetite to accept Pence as a warmed-up version of the 2012 GOP.

Maybe he will prove me wrong, and speak out strongly on these issues. I have no interest in his campaign until he proves me wrong. I think that others will too.
