DeSantis Fires First Salvo in Eagerly Awaited Newsom Debate

It’s official!

The much-anticipated Florida Governor and California Governor debate has finally arrived. After much hemming and hawing from the Newsom side, the debate has been scheduled. Ron DeSantis and California Governor. Gavin Newsom’s official announcement has now been made, including a date and time.

The debate, for those who didn’t hear the news, will take place on Fox News on Thursday, 30th November. Sean Hannity, host of the hour-long show that airs on weeknights from 9 to 10 p.m., will moderate the discussion. ET.

Newsom has been trying to use DeSantis for his national (presidential?) profile for well over a year now. First with a bizarre ad buy in the Sunshine State back in June 2022, DeSantis made it clear more than once that he will not be bullied by whoever is bullying him. Since June 2022 when Newsom first bought a bizarre advertisement in Florida, DeSantis made it clear that he would not be bullied.

DeSantis’ campaign is not wasting time, even though the matchup will be televised in two months. They shared the news in a video on Monday, after the announcement. The video contrasted the leadership styles of the two men, who are seen by some political analysts as the future of their respective parties.

DeSantis, on the other hand, is an actual presidential candidate, while Newsom, a wannabe, is positioning himself as Joe Biden’s replacement, if necessary. This has led some to question DeSantis’s decision to accept Newsom’s challenge to debate him from several months back.

As I have said previously, Newsom vs. DeSantis is a debate that Americans should see, not only because it would shed light on their very different visions for America, but also because DeSantis could bring the “slick”, Newsom to heel, and possibly damage Newsom’s ambitions.

This would be an interesting case study of stark political contrasts, the likes we haven’t witnessed in a long time.

Newsom is also prone to sugarcoating his actions and is not truthful about his past. This is something that is easy to point out.

DeSantis could lose his presidential bid if he loses the debate with Newsom. As history has repeatedly demonstrated, DeSantis is a man who can rise to the occasion and cut through the spin of the liberals to reveal the truth.
