Joe Biden’s electoral prospects seem to be deteriorating. Joe Biden’s election prospects are not likely to improve with the now official impeachment investigation and the controversy surrounding his son Hunter’s refusal to appear before the House Oversight Committee.
Hunter Biden showed that he was able to show up at the Oversight Deposition but gave the House the finger when he appeared on the Senate side and attacked “MAGA Republicans” during a speech. He said, among other things, that his father wasn’t “financially” involved in his business.
Hunter: “Let me state as clearly as I can: My father was not financially involved in my business, not as a practicing lawyer, not as a board member of Burisma. Not in my partnership with a Chinese private businessman. Not my investments at home nor abroad and certainly not as an… pic.twitter.com/NWgBrfm7ux

This was a further shift in the goalposts from what Joe Biden initially said that he had not spoken to or been in contact with his son’s associates. Hunter’s admission that Joe Biden was “involved in other ways” leaves the door open. Devon Archer claimed that the Biden brand was being sold by the Biden family for millions of dollars.
This is the connection allegedly sold.

The White House Counsel spokesperson Ian Sams appeared on CNN and did not do well. Joe may not be “proud of his son” when Hunter just did something that could lead to him being prosecuted.

Joe knew Hunter would give a statement and, presumably, ignore the subpoena.
Has he talked to him about this or advised him to do it? If he did, that would be obstruction. Joe Biden said in the past that people who refused to comply with subpoenas would be prosecuted.
Sams adopted the Biden playbook and called facts “lies.”
Biden spokesman Ian Sams — despite bank records, phone calls, emails, photos, texts, visitor logs, and sworn witness testimony indicating extensive corruption — claims the Biden impeachment inquiry is a “relentless smear campaign” pic.twitter.com/Fd49LDmfD8

He claimed that the Republicans were only trying to discredit Biden. He noted that these facts were used in the impeachment process of Donald Trump, who was then president. He was impeached because he asked about Biden’s alleged corruption, but Democrats do not want Biden held accountable for any of his falsehoods or actions.
Phil Mattingly, a CNN reporter, didn’t agree. He said that this “evolution” was from what Joe Biden previously had said on the subject — “never discussed” and “not concerned”.
CNN’s Phil Mattingly: “It was said explicitly the president did not talk to his son about business dealings! That is very clearly NOT the case … it is a FACT that the president said one thing that ended up being not true!”
Biden spokesman Ian Sams: “I dispute that that’s true” pic.twitter.com/TWmflWiW55

Sams challenged the “whole premise” of this question. Mattingly is right. They want to avoid the facts. Mattingly refused to let Sams deflect the issue with nonsense. He claimed that the White House said that Joe hadn’t spoken to his son regarding his business dealings. “And that is not true,” he said.
The White House’s statements have “changed.”
Mattingly stated that Joe Biden had “said something that turned out to be untrue.”
Sams claimed he denied the indisputable facts. Sams has no choice but to accept the truth when even CNN admits it.
