We reported on the departure of climate czar John Kerry from the Biden Administration. Joe Biden will be his re-election campaign. They should both be fired by November.
Kerry is in the news. Does it have anything to do with his decision to leave?
House Oversight Committee launched an investigation on Special Envoy for Climate Kerry because of his frequent meetings with environmental activists. Comer demanded documents and communications unreacted to Kerry’s “collusion”, as well as information about Kerry’s secretive SPEC Office.
Comer showed a particular interest in “Kitchen Cabinet Meetings”
Comer said that these meetings went “far beyond the normal briefings”. The SPEC-leftist groups’ relationship raised concerns about possible conflicts of interest involving SPEC and the groups concerning climate finance investments.
According to the chairman, the documents received by the Committee showed that coordination and briefings had been anything but normal. It is possible to receive ‘off-the-record’ information and consult on climate finance as well as influence U.S. Foreign Policy positions.
Comer stated that the communications examined showed groups asking and receiving advice on strategic guidelines for navigating “funding gaps” in climate-related financing action. It could be used for “possible insider deals or wealth transfers.”
Comer expresses concern about “off-the-record” conversations with the group.
Envoy Kerry, and the SPEC Office, gave these groups preferential treatment in identifying funding opportunities. Comer said that the Department distributed tax dollars for their project.
Comer stated that the SPEC Office had not provided information regarding the ethical or financial disclosures for anyone they may have hired over the last three years. The lack of information raises concerns about possible conflicts of interest and influence peddling.
A group of energy watchdogs has also filed a FOIA suit against the Biden Administration. They wanted transparency.
For nearly three years, John Kerry kept his radical climate office a secret while taxpayers picked up the tab.
That’s why @powerthefuture is taking a stand and pursuing legal action against the Biden Administration.
