The Biden Administration has once again tried to grab power. In March, the Defense Department asked Congress to override a law that required governors to approve any changes to National Guard Units. The proposal would give the Defense Department the unilateral authority to transfer units from the National Guard to the Space Force, perhaps because they are preparing for some alien invasion.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who has been a constant thorn in Biden’s side on the issue of illegal immigration because the president refused to protect our border while the Republican governor took the invasion seriously is now fighting back. He pointed out in a recent letter to the White House how the move would break a long-standing precedent.
Abbott, in a letter dated May 3, wrote: “Although Texas Air National Guard doesn’t have these missions, I am strongly opposed to any attempt to sideline Governors when it comes their respective National Guards.” “Congress has required that a governor consent to any transfer of units out of his National Guard.”
President Biden and his Admin. are making a power grab for the National Guard.
They want to give the Secretaries unilateral authority to dismantle National Guard units on a whim.

Abbott said that the proposal was a “power grab” and would set a dangerous precedence.
“By allowing Secretaries to demolish National Guard units at their whims, Legislative Proposal 48 would set a harmful precedent.” The Texas National Guard members must be ready to respond in the event of natural disasters, civil unrest, or cartel activity.
Even left-wing CA Gov. Jerry Brown seems to have a strong dislike for the idea. Gavin Newsom signed a letter on April 29, expressing his “strong opposition” against the change. He said it undermines “over 100 years of precedent, as well as national safety and military readiness.” Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis were not included, but Abbott responded separately, and DeSantis also did.

It is hard to guess why Biden Inc. tried to reclassify National Guard troops to Space Force. However, it appears that since 2021, more than a dozen Republican Governors have sent their state National Guard soldiers to deal with the Biden border disaster. Hmm.
Biden can stop this embarrassing situation by moving these personnel to the Space Force.
The media and progressives are still claiming that Trump will be the next Hitler if he is reelected. But it’s Biden, or whoever controls him, who has weaponized the Justice Department and defied the Supreme Court. He also made heavy-handed moves and suggested an attempt to give the federal government more power, at the expense and disadvantage of states and citizens.
Joe Biden is a wannabe dictator in the race for president.
