Federal prosecutors in Hunter Biden’s case of illegal gun purchase will now use a wealth of information from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop. Despite objections by Hunter’s lawyers, Special Prosecutor David Weiss informed Judge Maryellen Norrieka that he could prove the laptop was authentic. Hunter Biden may finally be catching up to his past.
Court papers reveal that federal prosecutors intend to use thousands of pages from the “laptop from Hell” of first son Hunter Biden and other technologies, including a message requesting more “chore boys” to smoke crack.
The 54-year old son of President Biden will be on trial in Delaware in a federal case that accuses him of illegally possessing a firearm while addicted to drugs. Prosecutors in the office David Weiss have stated they intend to present damning evidence from the laptop, a computer hard drive and the iCloud account associated with his iPad and iPhone XR.
The feds claim to have over 18,000 pages of electronic records from Biden, which they would like to summarize into a chart that jurors can understand.
Hunter’s words about the “laptop of Hell” are shown below:
According to court documents filed on Wednesday by the prosecutors, one message reads: “I need more task boy.”
Hunter’s team is preparing objections:
Hunter’s team said that they should also be allowed to object to certain laptop evidence, claiming that the hard drive had been hacked and incriminating evidence planted there.
Prosecutors say that they will be able confirm and prove that the digital evidence, which they intend to present is genuine and from Biden’s devices.
Weiss’ prosecutors also want to include messages between Hunter and “Witness 3,” previously identified by The Post as his sister-in-law-turned-lover Hallie Biden, that were sent to and from the phone of Hunter’s ex-wife Kathleen Buhle and thus “not synced to his iCloud account.”
Hunter Biden prepares to go on trial for illegal possession and purchase of a Colt revolver in.38 calibre, which Hallie Biden illegally dumped.
The information is damning if the prosecutors are able to verify the authenticity of the data on the laptop. The First Son’s words could be used against him to prove his illegal purchase.
Hunter himself has stated that the evidence directly documents his drug abuse. To purchase legal firearms from licensed dealers, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Form 4473 must be completed. This includes the required answer for part 11e.
Do you use marijuana, depressants, stimulants, narcotic drugs, or other controlled substances?
Hunter’s laptop records, however, appear to indicate otherwise. They document his continued drug use. Federal law prohibits the purchase of a gun after a false declaration on Form 4473.
Hunter’s troubles may not have an impact on the November elections — after all, he’s not the candidate — but they certainly don’t help his father’s efforts to win a second term.
