Ted Cruz Slams Biden’s Israel Arms Policy: Shocking Double Standard Revealed in Approved Arms Shipments

Joe Biden has stopped Israel from sending arms to Rafah, to stop the Israelis’ move.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, told him that he was going to end Hamas, even if he had to do it by himself, and they already had the weapons they needed. They’re ignoring Biden’s threats and insisting that it won’t stop them from protecting their people finishing the terrorists and ending the conflict.

It is troubling that Biden would act in this way — helping Hamas at this crucial time. It seems to be a political move to boost his standing with the left, and places like Michigan that he needs to keep for the elections.

Biden’s threats are made even more alarming by what he is doing simultaneously.

Washington Free Beacon learned that less than a week before the Biden Administration announced its intention to stop U.S. weapons sales to Israel, they issued a waiver of sanctions to bypass congressional prohibitions against arms sales. This included Hamas’ ally Qatar, and Iran-controlled Lebanon.

The Free Beacon obtained a copy from the State Department on Tuesday, just a day after President Joe Biden had threatened to stop key arms deliveries to Israel if Israel moved forward with its incursion into the Rafah district of the Gaza Strip. According to the notification, the State Department intends to circumvent laws prohibiting the United States from selling weapons to nations that boycott Israel.

The Biden Administration, which had waived these sanctions previously, stated in the notification it intended to extend the waiver until April 30, 2025. This would allow weapons to be sent out to many nations that work closely with Hamas and other Iran-backed terror proxy groups.

He is not only threatening to kill them, but he also provides weapons to their enemies. This includes Lebanon, where Iran has proxies in Lebanon who are attacking Israel right now.

One might say that he is trying to appeal to the left to boost his political fortunes. However, this only serves to embolden terrorists and hurt our allies. It’s not even an excuse for him to try to appease the leftists by saying to stop the Rafah action.

After reviewing the waiver of sanctions, Ted Cruz, a Republican senator from Texas and member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee told the Free Beacon that the Biden administration was punishing our allies while boosting our enemies. “They sanctioned Israel, and imposed an arms embargo.” They have spent hundreds of millions on aid to the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip and dismantled Iran sanctions. Now they are lifting congressional restrictions and sending weapons to Israel’s adversaries such as Qatar and Lebanon.

Biden’s record just gets worse and worse.
