Rep. Tim Burchett, R-TN, is calling for an investigation into the “Hunter Intel Letter”—the letter signed by 51 former officials in the intelligence community suggesting that the Hunter Biden laptop was a Russian information operation. He accuses it of “interfering with the 2020 election.”
“I request an investigation immediately into the role of @SecBlinken and 51 intelligence officials in meddling in the 2020 elections. We don’t hand over all of these taxpayer dollars to the intelligence community for them to undermine our democratic process,” Burchett stated.
Burchett has done a great job. This was long overdue. I’m not optimistic that the Biden Administration or Secretary of State Antony Blinken will cooperate. They need to take action. The process needs to be started and laid out so that everything is ready for the new administration in 2025. We may then get real action. They must hold people accountable and take a deeper look at the weaponization and politicization of the intelligence community.
Burchett has a wicked sense of humor when he is talking or responding to Democrats.
He responded to someone on the left who called him a “traitor” and encouraged people to vote for blue:
Burchett made a joke about messing up the video he had been trying to record, and someone replied that he “pulled a Biden.” He responded to this one in a very funny way.
He joked, “Except that I know the location of the soft-serve ice cream maker in the White House.”
He then snorted with laughter at this man, whom he described as a Democratic operative paid to try and trip him “every day.” “Representative, will you pledge to oppose a national abortion ban?” the guy asked. Burchett’s next words were not what this guy expected.
“Will you put sunscreen on your legs?” Burchett replied. “I have to wear welding goggles here because they are so white.”
That’s hilarious! I think he might need sunscreen to protect himself from sunburn. I think he was being humorous and trying to be helpful by suggesting he use sunscreen to protect his legs. It’s a classic comeback.
