It was a great vindication when prosecutors in Hunter Biden’s trial presented his infamous “laptop from hell” as evidence. We have been reporting on the laptop’s salacious contents and its infamous history since October 2020. We were right.
We knew this in October 2020. However, Big Tech, Biden’s campaign, and mainstream media conspired to keep it out of the news and off social media by fabricating the story that the laptop contained Russian disinformation. After the election and after Biden was inaugurated as president, mainstream media began to slowly admit that the laptop was genuine.
The fact that the Biden Justice Department was now using the computer as evidence and admitting it was genuine and undamaged was an ultimate vindication for conservative media. It was also a damning indictment against Big Tech and mainstream media. There are still a few holdouts within the mainstream media that refuse to admit their mistakes.
Philip Bump of the Washington Post concludes that right-wingers are celebrating the DOJ admitting the laptop without any reason. He writes: “The question was whether the material had been part of an effort by a foreign country to influence the elections, as it had happened four years earlier.”
Bump claims that the laptop used as evidence at the trial was not necessarily the source for the New York Post article. I’m serious.
Hunter Biden was already under FBI investigation when he brought his laptop to be repaired in April 2019. The FBI eventually learned of the abandoned device, and it took possession along with the hard drive containing some recovered material. The FBI obtained other material, including the contents of Hunter Biden’s iCloud. This material included emails, photos, and messages.
The New York Post received a copy made by John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of the repair facility.

At the time the New York Post reported, the issue was partly that the material could not be authentic. Partly, however, the issue was that the material was authentic and being released in 2020 to try to influence the outcome.
This is a funny and fascinating story, mainly because we have seen more misinformation coming from the Biden campaign compared to stories about fake evidence on a laptop.
We did witness a massive effort by 51 intelligence officials to discredit the laptop, and even prevent its mention. We now know that they were recruited by the Biden administration to make this claim.
The letter was a joke. Signatories not only admitted they never inspected the contents of the laptop but also that there was no proof of Russian involvement. They had no idea, and they only wanted to create doubt so that Biden could dispute the authenticity of this laptop in his debate with Trump.
No one believed the laptop to be Russian disinformation. Anyone who looked at the laptop’s contents knew it was real and verifiable. Hunter Biden was not forced to abandon his laptop at the repair shop by Russians.
It is not surprising that the Russian narrative has gained traction because the media did not cover the contents of the laptop, which contained a wealth of information about influence-peddling. These details were much more important and interesting than Hunter’s documentation of his drug abuse and the payment of women for sex.
Bump and others like him will not admit they tried to corruptly influence elections by trying to prevent damaging information about the candidate they supported from being revealed.
Weird. That’s exactly what Alvin Bragg charged Trump with.
