Barack Obama Set to Endorse Kamala Harris for President

As the saying goes, bricks are falling. The wall is the campaign of Kamala Harris for the presidency. Barack Obama is the latest brick that has fallen in.

Two people with knowledge of his plans say that former President Barack Obama intends to endorse Vice-President Kamala Harris for the presidential race.

According to a person who spoke anonymously about a not-yet-public endorsement, the endorsement could be announced as early as Thursday.

Obama, the first Black President, is still one of the most popular figures within the Democratic Party, even after more than 10 years since his last election. He supported Biden at fundraisers that were some of the most important events in his campaign. He is also a big draw at campaign events.

This could have an important effect on the race.

Barack Obama’s final approval rating as president is 59 percent. Other Democratic presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter are at 66 percent each. His word is still very important to Democrats. He famously stated about Joe Biden, “There’s “…nothing Joe can’t f**k-up.” But he still ascribes Democrat solidarity – and Democrats have done this very well in the past. They stick together.

Obama is expected to make his official endorsement as early as Thursday.

The wait to endorse was deliberate. Obama, according to a person who knows his thinking, didn’t want the party’s nominee determined by him.

The person stated that “he believed it was very important for our party to have a process in which delegates choose our nominee and he thought VP Harris had made an impressive start.”

Obama will offer his support to the newly minted Democratic nominee now that Harris has positioned herself to win the nomination.

Obama did not endorse the 2020 presidential primary, even though his vice president was running. He viewed himself as a wise elder who would let the party decide its future.

The Democratic Party has shown that they are willing to use the long knives to defeat a candidate who is polling on the path to a landslide victory — for Republicans. If Kamala Harris begins to show a similar decline in the polls, the Democratic National Convention could get very heated indeed.

We should also remember that Her Imperial Highness Hillary I will be closely monitoring any polling results.

There should be no misgivings about the influence Barack Obama has in Democratic Party circles. This endorsement could bring in any remaining holdouts from the Democratic Party and solidify the party’s support for the vice president. It’s not clear how this endorsement will affect independents and moderates, who will determine the battleground state election results and the final Electoral College result.
