Jon Stewart, the comedian, seems to indicate that there is still some “Bad Blood” in the air. Tim Walz, Kamala Harris, and Dick Cheney are all campaigning together with Liz Cheney.
See what I did there?
Walz and Stewart appeared on “The Daily Show”, on Monday. The host made it immediately clear that asking voters not to breathe while the “We’re Saving Democracy” tour of Cheney is being sold to them was not ideal.
“The Cheney thing — do we really have to do that?” asked a sheepish Stewart.
Walz assumed immediately that the comment was in reference to the elder Cheney. He then made an amazing comparison.
Look, it goes further than that. Look, Bernie Sanders, Dick Cheney, Taylor Swift –”
One of these things is different from the rest.
Stewart interjected immediately by repeatedly repeating “no”. He then joked half-heartedly that the pop singer didn’t lead the world into endless wars.
You can’t have Taylor Swift or Dick Cheney. No!” He insisted. “In what country did Taylor Swift convince us to invade?” No!”
Tim Walz just defended embracing Dick and Liz Cheney’s endorsements, claiming they ‘give permission’ to libertarians, constitutionalists, and ‘don’t tread on me’ folks to cross over.
This is beyond parody. We’ve always despised the Cheneys. pic.twitter.com/NlMLELZ8Hu

Dick Cheney was widely vilified for his role in the intelligence failure involving “weapons-of-mass-destruction”, which led to an almost nine-year conflict in Iraq, which cost many military and civilian deaths.
He brought torture techniques back to the United States and spied upon Americans. He left office with an approval rating of 13 percent from the American public.
Walz still believes Dick and Liz Cheney are going to attract very specific groups of voters. The Gadsden libertarians, in particular.
There is still a core of people out there. He explained that there are many people who support the Don’t Tread on Me campaign, the Reagan piece, the Libertarian piece, and the Constitutional part.
“I believe Liz Cheney and Dick Cheney allow those who are looking for a good reason to do what is right to do so.”
Libertarians may be surprised to hear that Dick Cheney has become their new standard bearer. You’re aware of one of the most passionate supporters of the Patriot Act.
You may remember that the Patriot Act was passed in a hurry after the 9/11 attacks. The Patriot Act granted the U.S. Government broad surveillance powers to combat terrorism of all kinds, including domestic terrorism.
The Patriot Act defines “domestic terrorism” as any activity “that appears to be intended,” to “influence a government’s policy by intimidation or force.”
The ACLU describes the Patriot Act as the “first of many changes in surveillance laws which made it easier for government to spy on Americans.”
According to a court document that was not sealed, the Department of Justice used the Patriot Act’s “domestic terrorist” provision to obtain search warrants for defendants on January 6th.
Walz hopes Libertarians won’t notice. He says, with a wink or a nod, that the Harris campaign is simply using the Cheney brand. They do not support Liz and Dick’s policies.
Walz said, “It does not mean that they agree with us.” “We won’t take their discussions and decisions about foreign policy and implement them,” said Walz.
This comment was enough to appease the incomprehensible Stewart.
“Promise?” He whimpered and put his head down while rubbing his forehead.
Walz assured, “Yes, promise. It’s a stressful time.”
“This is a very stressful time!” Stewart yelled back.
Walz has previously used the Cheney/Taylor Swift “big tent” analogy.
“I am as surprised as anyone of the coalition that Kamala Harris built, from Bernie Sanders and Dick Cheney to Taylor Swift,” said he during the vice-presidential debate.
Billboard describes him as wearing “Eras Tour-inspired friendship bracelets” when he was photographed.
Wlalz & Harris have a wide range of entertainment to offer, including pop stars, comedians pretending to be journalists, and a Darth Vader-like character. They also sell friendship bracelets and a Darth Vader they once called.
The libertarians, conservatives, and others aren’t buying it. Both Dick and Liz Cheney bring zero voters to them.
Cheney’s been called a warmonger, a war criminal, and even a torturer by the media.
Now he will help them unite with libertarians to save democracy.
