Are you prepared for the most incredible thing you’ll witness today? Donald Trump’s victory brought about a flurry of left-wing reactions ranging from hilarious to bizarre. On MSNBC, you’ve likely seen the talking heads continue to claim that Kamala Harris ran a “flawless” campaign and that racism and gender discrimination were the reasons behind her defeat.
Then there’s late-night television. Nowhere else in the media are so many pompous, out-of-touch imbeciles assembled. Jimmy Kimmel, for example, started crying on a show that was supposed to be funny.
Former comedian Jimmy Kimmel offers tearful lecture after Trump’s big win. Clapter ensues.

Let’s be honest, last night was an awful night. For women, children, and hardworking immigrants who make this country work.
(Starts crying)
Science, journalism, healthcare, climate, and free speech. The night was terrible for the poor. It was also a bad one for people in the middle class, seniors who rely on social security, and our Ukrainian allies.
(Starts crying again)
All those who voted against his candidacy had a terrible night. It was a terrible night for all who voted against him. You don’t yet know.
“Saving democracy” is what they believe, and I could point that out. Kimmel is using Hispanics and Black men who voted for Trump as pawns.
Kimmel is addicted to farts and doesn’t realize it.
Stephen Colbert is another.
Colbert, also despondent:
“The majority has spoken and they said they don’t care that much about democracy. And I want to take a moment to congratulate Kamala Harris & Tim Walz on running an amazing 107-day campaign.” pic.twitter.com/cIksZv1jUm

COLBERT: Well, ****. It happened again. Donald Trump has won the 2024 election after a bizarre and vicious campaign fuelled by the desperate wish to avoid prison.
You almost seem to have practiced this.
I’m still shocked. Yesterday I proudly wore the “I Voted” sticker. Today I wear my “I Question My Fundamental Belief in Humanity’s Goodness Sticker.” These stickers are distributed outside, at the back of the shop.
Now, as a late-night host, people often say to me, “Come on, part of has got to want Trump to win because he gives you so much material to work with.” No, no one tells the guy who plays the bathroom, “Wow, you must love it when someone has explosive diarrhea. There’s so much material to work with.” Do you understand that?
So many of us wish this hadn’t happened, but that is not for us to decide. This is a democracy. That’s a democracy with a capital “duh,” and in this democracy, the majority has spoken, and they said they don’t care that much about democracy. And I want to take a moment to congratulate Kamala Harris and Tim Walz on running an amazing 107-day campaign. I mean come on, that was a shortner right out of the gate. They had it right out of the game. I hope they stay in touch, I know they’re good at texting.
Colbert’s message was clear: Americans are uncultured, ignorant rubes. This has been the message of the Democratic Party since the Barack Obama years.
