Melania Snubs Jill Biden: Reportedly Declines Traditional First Ladies’ Tea Invitation

Melania Trump chose to forgo a tea gathering between the incoming and departing First Ladies despite being invited by Joe and Jill Biden.

 

CNN confirmed the meeting will not take place through its sources after the Daily Mail reported the incident.

 

Melania’s husband Donald Trump, the President-elect, will meet with President Biden on Wednesday at the White House. This meeting is intended to represent a peaceful transition of power. The First Ladies usually have tea at the residence while the Presidents are in the Oval Office.

 

Melania didn’t host the tea that is traditionally held after an election with a lot of controversy, such as in 2020. She also doesn’t seem to want to see Dr. Jill Biden this time around.

 

A source told The Mail that “Mrs. Trump will not be going and they haven’t spoken.”

 

CNN cited other sources that said the tea would turn stone cold if a kettle was put on for Melania. According to the outlet, Mrs. Biden was denied an invitation due to “a scheduling conflict”, and a source stated that it wasn’t a hard pass yet.

 

 

The Mail reported that “Melania & Jill are yet to speak after Kamala Harris’s humiliating defeat despite their husbands having a cordial telephone call.”

 

It is hard to blame Melania for not wanting to adhere strictly to tradition and decorum in her second term as First Lady.

 

Media mocked the Christmas decorations she displayed, ridiculed her Be Best initiative to end bullying, and treated her as garbage because of their hatred for Mr. Trump.

 

 

Remember the time she met Michelle Obama in 2016? Melania generously gave Obama a Tiffany frame, which Michelle Obama was always complaining about.

 

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Mrs. Obama complained, “It’s like a State Visit, and they tell you you’re doing this, but they’re standing here.”

 

She said, “This is the first time I have ever received this gift. I am sort of like OK. What do I do with it?”

 

I’m certain Melania would have had a few suggestions.

 

 

Michelle has complained repeatedly about the gift.

 

What Mrs. Obama doesn’t admit is that gift-giving was not a breach at all of protocol… because she did the exact same thing in 2009 with Laura Bush.

 

 

Michelle Obama told Jimmy Fallon on the “Tonight Show,” that she was thinking “Bye Felicia!” during her transition.

 

Melania is now delivering the same message to Jill Biden.

 

Before the election, Mrs. Trump said that she was “not anxious” at the prospect of being First Lady again since she now has “much greater experience and knowledge.”
