Todd Golden, the men’s basketball head coach at the University of Florida, will continue to be the Gators’ coach despite an ongoing Title IX probe into his conduct.
The school released a statement on Sunday night to confirm that Golden’s status has not changed in light of the complaint that he had engaged in sexual harassment and sexual exploitation as well as stalking, cyberstalking, and stalking multiple women.
Golden will be at the court when the Gators, who are 2-0, host Grambling State on Monday night.
The university’s student newspaper, The Alligator broke the story on Friday, citing two former students as witnesses.
The third-year head coach confirmed on Saturday that he was cooperating with the probe and had hired attorney Ken Turkel as his representative in a potential defamation lawsuit.
Golden is a 39-year-old who has compiled a 42-30 record in his three seasons with UF. He led the team to an NCAA Tournament appearance last season.
