Matt Gaetz Fires Back: The Untold Story Behind His Armed Response to Ethics Report

The House Ethics Committee changed its mind about the report regarding former Rep. Matt Gaetz and decided to release the document before lawmakers left for their holiday break.

Gaetz has denied all allegations and responded to the news with a pistol.

The Biden/Garland DOJ reviewed allegations against me for years.

I was cleared of all charges: COMPLETELY EXONERATED. I was not even charged with a violation of campaign finance. The people who investigated me were hostile towards me.

House Ethics then assembled the “witnesses”, whom the DOJ had deemed unreliable, to repeat their statements without any interrogation or challenge by me or my lawyers. I have never had the chance to confront anyone. I’ve never faced any charges. I’ve never been charged.

House Ethics is reportedly going to post an online report that I will not have the opportunity to discuss or refute as a former House member. When I was single, I sent money to women who I had dated. Some of them I never even dated. I dated some of these women for many years. I never had sexual contact with anyone under 18. My claim would be destroyed if I made it in court.

In my 30s, I worked hard and played hard.

Although not illegal, it’s embarrassing that I partied more, smoked, drank, and womanized earlier in my life than I should have. I live a different life now.

He finished off the job with a shot.

“At least I didn’t support CRs that screwed over the country!” He ended by laying down the gauntlet to the issue that is causing people concern (the so-called Continuing Resolution for funding the government).

He wasn’t finished. He was ready for a fight.

Good question.

Gaetz suggested he might show up for the new term after all and “file a privileged motion to expose every ‘me too’ settlement paid using public funds (even of former members).”

It sounds like he is sending a strong, direct message. But the public’s reaction was quite different. The public was pulling out popcorn to encourage him.

We’ll see what the Committee says or if he follows through on that idea.
