The Senate Democrats’ attempt to delay a vote on Russ Vought, the nominee to lead the Office of Management and Budget was unintentionally funny. But President Trump got his man. The final vote on Thursday night was split along party lines. 53 Republicans voted “aye,” and 47 Democrats voted “nay.”
After a 30-hour rant on the Senate floor, Democrats who have no clue what to do in America’s Golden Age aired their grievances. The debate began on Wednesday after the cloture motion was invoked again, along party lines. Dems refusing to give up any time for debate to their Republican counterparts, they sent speaker after speaker on the floor to launch a tirade of several hours against Russ Vought.
Here is a sample of their mindless ramblings:
In one of his late-night speeches, Andy Kim, a freshman senator from New Jersey, stated that Russell Vought had been born to bring corruption back into the light. “Vought believes that the entire executive branch’s power belongs to the President and the President alone,” Andy Kim said.
And:
“Why isn’t the government run like a company?” [Sen. Brian] Schatz asked, in response to the questions posed by the “tech bros” who are now involved in the decision-making of the executive branch. “Let’s tell you why. If you ran the government like a company, you would close every rural hospital. If you run government like a company, you wouldn’t have a nationwide transportation network.”
The Democrat Party is unable to govern and has very little power. All they can do at this time is complain and perform. The ringleader of the Democrat Party is Sen. Schatz, a senator from Hawaii. He threatened earlier this week to place a “blanket” hold on President Trump’s nominations if Elon Musk or DOGE did not stop their savage deconstruction of USAID. USAID was also known as the Democrat Party’s favorite slush fund.

This guy has got something to hide.
Democrats have reason to be afraid of Russ Vought, and the efforts that the Trump administration is making to eliminate corruption and waste from the federal government.
Vought served as OMB director during Trump 1.0. He is a master in bureaucratic warfare, and he knows the federal budget. He is not intimidated. He is also one of Project 2025’s leading lights, even though Trump has never heard of it. He will also not tolerate “resistance.”
Vought, who has been confirmed by the DOGE, will likely be an excellent complement to their mission to reduce the size and scope of the federal government. The Democrats have no real power to stop this, but they are having fun trying.
