US Attorney Warns of Threats Against DOGE Workers After Media Exposure

It would seem that Americans of all political stripes would applaud the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) efforts to examine our government’s spending. The DOGE was created by Donald Trump and is headed by Elon Musk. It is a great service to finally get our government under control.

The left was horrified that Musk and the DOGE guys were going to look at things like the United States Agency for International Development. Some at USAID didn’t let the DOGE guys in to investigate things.

Leftists have been agitating about this as if DOGE people were taking over the government. They appear to have forgotten that DOGE is created by the President who leads the executive branch. Unelected bureaucrats do not run the government. They can’t dictate to the president or his agents. DOGE, however, is a powerful force that has a lot to gain. Many on the left don’t like that.

Hot Air reported that “WIRED magazine named a few of the DOGE Team in an article. They claimed that they were also “tracking” Musk people who infiltrated Government Services Administration.

Some DOGE guys have received threats. People are posting things on social media like “hunt them down.” They have posted all of their information and their names. This is an absurd reaction to their desire to make the government cleaner and more efficient. I won’t repost these threats because the names of the people are included. The left has lost all sense.

Elon Musk has praised his team’s efforts.

The left is attacking them, and they shouldn’t be facing threats.

Ed Martin, the Acting U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia is now coming to their defense.

Martin told Musk: “We won’t tolerate disgruntled people breaking the law or making threats against DOGE employees. He promised to keep government workers safe and protect Americans’ property.”

I am aware that certain staff members at DOGE have been publicly targeted. Please use me and my team to help protect the work of DOGE and its workers. Threats, confrontations, or any other action that impacts their work could be a violation of numerous laws.

I can assure you that we will take any legal action necessary to stop anyone from obstructing your work or threatening your people. We will not behave like the previous administration, which looked at the other side as Antifa and BLM, as well as gun-toting thugs, demolished our capital city. No matter what, we will protect DOGE workers and others.

Martin warned them to be on the lookout for anyone who could “act against our American people,” about a recent incident where they arrested a former Federal Reserve advisor for alleged spying for China.

Martin asked Musk to contact him if there were any other issues.

Martin did well. This is a public warning that people may face consequences if they go after DOGE workers or other government employees and could back off some of these crazy individuals. They need to be protected to untangle the mess.
