Hollywood LGBTQ stars and other elites are in a panic because of the second Trump administration. Some have fled the United States already or plan to do so soon.
The Wrap reported Kirsten Schaffer saying: “It keeps me up at night worrying for myself and my community. Especially the transgender community. The last time, there were more safeguards. Trump didn’t have the House of Representatives or Senate. ”
According to the outlet, Brent Hartinger left America in 2017 after Trump won his first election.
Scott Bessent is the Treasury Secretary nominee that Donald Trump has named for his incoming government. Richard Grenell was also appointed as the Presidential Envoy.
Trump said repeatedly that he is not against same-sex marriages, and he has hosted homosexual weddings in Mar-a-Lago.
TheWrap has received anonymous sources who have said that they at least considered leaving the U.S. Not everyone can afford to leave the U.S. and start over in a new country.
The Wrap’s gay men interviewed tended to be “wait and see” in their approach. They thought the issue was overblown.
Marc Huestis founded the Gay Film Festival and was a close ally of Harvey Milk, the slain homosexual politician.
Bruce Vilanch is a writer and comic who told the outlet he thought there was a “certain amount of hysteria” in L.A.’s LGBTQ community. “I do not think it’s as bad as people say, but I understand. ”
Unnamed Hollywood Publicists were reported to be unsure if the panic was justified or not. They stated: “I’m not sure how real these risks are and what might be hyperbole.”
The main reason for panic is the transgender community.
Laverne Cox, transgender Hollywood actor, spoke recently with Variety about moving to Europe or the Caribbean following Donald Trump’s victory in the election.
Cox claimed that she hoarded the estrogen because she was concerned about it being confiscated by the Trump administration.
Trump never said that his administration would remove hormones from transgender individuals.
Instead, he has campaigned to end male dysphoria among female athletes and the irreversible sex-change procedures performed on young children. This leftist fad is so controversial that The New York Times has even questioned its validity.
