Vice President Kamala Harris has been making the news over her latest interaction with children across America – or in her case, child actors. VP Harris launched a new YouTube series to get children interested in space and travel, even though she has completely ignored several major problems happening in the country, including the border crisis, botched Afghanistan withdrawal, and plummeting ratings.
Harris currently serves as chair of the National Space Council and uploaded the first installment of the series, “Get Curious with Vice President Harris,” with child actors, which many critics were quick to call out. While the children were grinning from ear to ear and seemed “thrilled” to see her, it’s clear that they were just carefully selected kids who submitted a monologue and three questions they would ask her.
Donald Trump Jr. was one of the first people to point out how humiliating the situation was for her and the administration’s attempt to make her more relatable.
“Just when you thought the most fake human being in the history of the world couldn’t get any more phony there’s this… Her commitment to cringe is truly impressive! Kamala Harris hired child actors to be part of her widely-mocked NASA space video,” Trump Jr. tweeted.
13-year-old Trevor Bernardino was one of the five child actors who submitted a monologue and was interviewed for the role. The child actor shares how his agent called him and booked the spot a week after his audition. He said he knew he was going to Washington DC and was going to interview someone but did not know that it would be VP Harris.
The other child actors included Derrick Brooks II, Emily Kim Zhoriel Tapo, and Sydney Schmooke. Trevor Bernardino’s dad shared how he has been trying acting for a while and has a manager out in LA. He said it was a very specific casting call where children had to write about the things they are passionate about. Trevor’s dad shares how his son wrote about the environment and that the producer of the series asked him to come up with three questions that he would ask a very important person.
“After that, he had a live Zoom interview with the producer of the series and then he got the part,” his dad shared.
Other critics pointed out that the only people VP Harris can impress are rehearsed, nine-year-old actors. She was seen wide-eyed with the child actors while talking about topics like craters on the moon and embracing your own individuality. The series also includes an appearance by NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough from the International Space Station.
Some poked fun at Harris for not knowing how to talk to ‘real’ children and having to resort to child actors in the first video of her YouTube series.
The series got mocked even more after it was revealed to be produced by a Toronto-based company called Sinking Ship Entertainment. They emphasized how Harris didn’t even use an American-based company and that it was called “sinking ship.” Even conservative commentator Candace Owens admits that it’s hard to humanize Kamala Harris. You really can’t make these things up anymore. Everything in the Biden admin is fake.
