Republican Governor. Eric Adams offered to teach Ron DeSantis the “values” of New York City’s crime-ridden New York City. The mayor of Florida then retaliated against Ron DeSantis and his team. Adams took a dig at DeSantis during his pro-police tour of Florida’s Democrat-run cities in The City That Never Sleeps.
Adams wrote Monday: “Welcome NYC [DeSantis], were we don’t prohibit books or discriminate towards our LGBTQ+ neighbour, use asylum seekers as props or allow the government to stand between women, health care, and their families. ”
New York City Mayor Larry Stern said, “We’re glad that you can learn something about value while we’re there,”
DeSantis’ campaign spokesperson Christina Pushaw responded to the team with a statement from Christina Pushaw. She stated that New York City saw the most departures in a single year.
Pushaw said, “Nice words but here’s the truth: NYC saw more Americans flee last year than any other major metropolitan area.” Pushaw wrote, “More Americans have relocated to Florida than any other country.”
Pushaw stated that Adams is a well-known mayor and they have spoken (accurately) about the crime driving people from NYC. “Florida’s criminal rates are at their lowest point in 50 years. ”
“Maybe there are some lessons you can take from [DeSantis]?” “, said the spokesperson for Governor DeSantis.
DeSantis started his tour Monday morning by meeting with officials from law enforcement unions at a diner in Staten Island’s red-leaning area, Staten Island.
The governor’s political team informed Fox News Digital that he would travel to Elmhurst, Illinois, near Chicago, with police chiefs and sheriffs.
DeSantis will promote his support for law enforcement in Florida and reduce crime. DeSantis recently introduced legislation to strengthen bail laws, to increase penalties for sex criminals and other anti-crime actions.
DeSantis’s office claims that he ran the largest recruitment program ever for state law enforcement officers last year. Officers who are willing to move from blue states to Florida were awarded signing bonuses of $5,000.
The Illinois Democratic Governor J.B. was angered by DeSantis’ planned trip in Chicago last week. Pritzker called the Florida governor homophobic. ”
DeSantis’ possible candidacy for the White House is being questioned. He would be up against Donald Trump in a Republican primaries.
