Sen. Dianne F. Feinstein, D-Calif., who was MIA in the Senate for allegedly shingles since February has emerged from the backseat of a chauffeured Lexus like a phoenix.

Sen. Dianne F. Feinstein (D-Calif.) cast her first votes on the Senate Floor on Wednesday after a three-month absence for health reasons.
On her arrival at Capitol Hill, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) helped her into a wheelchair.
Feinstein said to reporters that she felt “much better”, but did not respond to questions as to why she returned or to critics’ calls for her resignation.
Brave and amazing.
Since Feinstein left, the judicial panel she served on was unable to nominate any Democrat judicial candidates, much to fellow Democrats’ dismay and the delight of conservatives, who prefer not to see their political adversaries clogging up the courts.
Feinstein’s handlers issued a statement to the public in an attempt to calm expectations about her return. They warned that she might be officially back on the job but will have a “lighter” schedule and likely be wheeled in a wheelchair indefinitely.
In a Wednesday afternoon statement, Feinstein announced that she was back in Washington and would be returning to her duties with a “lighter” schedule.
Feinstein stated that “even though I have made great progress and returned to Washington, there are still some side effects of the shingles virus.” My doctors advised me to take a more relaxed schedule when I return to the Senate. I hope that these issues will diminish as I continue my recovery.
Pretending that 89-year-old Feinstein will ever return to the Senate to serve the people of California is insulting to all intelligence. She is arguably worse in the cognitive department than Biden.
It is dishonest to pretend, as NBC News did, that Feinstein “released a statement”. Feinstein has no idea what planet she is on. She hasn’t released anything. She doesn’t release anything.
Feinstein was defended by Twitter blue-check partisans.
“If you attack her appearance, then you’re pathetic.” You can attack her policies and abilities but a woman who is recovering from an illness should not be attacked for her looks. Brian Krassenstein wrote: “I have so much admiration for this woman’s drive to keep working for America.”
