Hegseth Turns the Tables on Hillary Clinton Using a Russia “Reset” Photo

On Sunday, Conservatives on Twitter praised Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth for his response to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s attack with a picture that had been viewed over 2,000,000 times on X.

Clinton said that she didn’t “want to hurt Putin’s feelings” on X, along with a headline from Gizmodo, which read: “Trump’s Defence Secretary Hegseth orders Cyber Command to Stand down’ on All Russia Operations.”

Hegseth replied to the post by posting a picture of Clinton and Sergei Lavrov, the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs in March 2009. The two were holding “reset” buttons that symbolized a resetting of the relations between both countries.

Conservatives on X praised the post immediately.

 “Crooked Hillary just got OWNED,” Department of Defense Press Secretary Kingsley Wilson posted on X.

“Call an ambulance …,” Rasmussen Reports posted on X.

Jack Posobiec, a conservative commentator, posted “LOL” on X .

“Total Secretary Hegseth W,” Greg Price of the Trump White House Rapid Response Team posted on X.

Hegseth’s post has been reposted more than 10,000 times, with over 3,000 likes and comments.

In recent days, Democrats have been very critical of Trump’s administration and attacked him as aligned with Russia based on the heated Oval Office conversation between Trump and Ukrainian president, Zelenskyy.

Trump’s administration maintains that Zelenskyy has not been serious in peace negotiations. Trump has said that Zelenskyy can come back to the White House to continue the talks at a future date.
